Position Overview

TRIDENT is seeking a Security Officer to provide professional security and safety coverage throughout the Greater Madison area. The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, and committed to delivering exceptional customer service. These responsibilities reflect what is expected on a daily basis. Our Security Officers are the foundation of our service delivery — they must be dependable and detail-oriented. The role requires working independently, applying critical thinking to solve problems, and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review and become familiar with all post orders, pass-down logs, and any site-specific memos or communications.
• Deliver outstanding first-line service to client personnel, visitors, team members, and members of the public requiring assistance, directions, or general support.
• Document and report client or public inquiries and concerns to the appropriate TRIDENT representative or designated site contact.
• Prepare complete, accurate incident and complaint reports and escalate them appropriately to TRIDENT and the Client.
• Carry out scheduled property patrols (every 60 minutes) to sustain a security presence and promote a safe environment.
• Manage and verify access for authorized vehicles, staff, and guests at the site.
• Uphold a safe work environment and ensure all on-site personnel meet required PPE standards.
• Address medical emergencies by administering first aid, CPR, and AED assistance as required.
• Check all interior and exterior entry points to confirm doors and gates are secured and in working order.
• Perform thorough interior and exterior walkthroughs to spot damage, safety concerns, maintenance issues, or anything out of the ordinary.
• Escalate incidents involving suspicious persons or activity through the correct chain of command.
• Take on any additional responsibilities as directed by TRIDENT.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in a security role is preferred.

REQUIRED CREDENTIALS

• Must obtain or currently hold a valid ASRB Guard Card within 30 days of hire and keep it current for the full duration of employment.
• Must hold and maintain a valid Alabama Driver's License.

WORK CONDITIONS

• May require operating a company vehicle to travel between locations.
• Role involves active, physical work across diverse environments with regular movement between client sites.
• Must be ready to work both indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
• Must be capable of prolonged sitting, standing, and walking throughout the shift.
• Weekend, holiday, and overtime availability are required as operational demands dictate.
