Security Officer

Kent Services seeks licensed Security Officers to monitor assigned premises and protect staff, visitors, and tenants. Full-time and part-time positions are available in Miami, FL and other areas in FL. 

Essential Duties 

• Observe and monitor property to detect theft, unauthorized access, or suspicious activity in accordance with gatehouse policies 

• Control the entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles according to protocol 

• Conduct identification checks on all staff, contractors, and visitors 

• Patrol premises and scan checkpoints during rover assignments 

• Monitor security systems and report suspicious activity 

• Prepare incident reports 

• Perform other duties as assigned 

Minimum Qualifications 

• Active State of Florida Class D Security License 

• Minimum one year of security experience in a hospitality, residential, or commercial setting 

• High school diploma or equivalent 

• Advanced verbal and written communication skills; good computer skills 

• Demonstrated reliability and ability to work independently 

Physical Requirements 

• Stand, walk, and operate a motor vehicle for short, long, or sporadic periods 

• Use stairs throughout the shift as needed 

Compensation 

• Hourly, non-exempt: $17.50-20.00 per hour (varies by post) 

• Reports to the Operations Manager
