School Security Officer
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate : $17.50/hr

Shift Available: Mon-Fri 12pm-8pm

Join our mission to create safe, secure, and supportive learning environments in Philadelphia schools. We're seeking dedicated and community-minded individuals to serve as School Security Officers-vital members of our school safety team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patrol school grounds, entrances, and surrounding areas to ensure safety

  • Monitor and manage building access, including visitor sign-in procedures

  • De-escalate conflicts and provide support to students and staff

  • Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies and incidents

  • Build positive relationships with students and foster a culture of respect

  • Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident reports

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or youth engagement is a plus

  • Must pass all required background checks

  • Must have Child Abuse Clearance and FBI School Training Certificate

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
