Position Overview

TRIDENT has an opening for a Swing Shift Security Officer to deliver professional security and safety coverage at a secured commercial facility in Cupertino, CA. This swing shift position is well-suited for flexible candidates who are at ease working across both evening and late-night hours as the site transitions from peak activity to overnight operations. Reliability, keen attention to detail, and a consistently professional presence are essential to performing well in this role.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Partner with a team of Security Specialists to maintain the safety of customers and employees across commercial environments.
• Walk assigned areas on foot to sustain a visible security presence and discourage security incidents.
• Observe, identify, and take action on abnormal or potentially unsafe conditions on the property.
• Document and investigate security events, accidents, and any maintenance-related concerns as they arise.
• Answer requests for assistance from supervisors, client employees, or other members of the security team.
• Support facility staff during evacuations, emergency scenarios, or situations involving hazards.
• Assist with crowd management and liaise with public safety authorities when the situation requires it.
• Check identification for employees seeking access to restricted areas of the client's property.
• Handle parking enforcement and address vehicle-related issues on the premises.
• Engage with customers and employees in a respectful, professional manner at all times.
• Provide First Aid, CPR, and AED assistance during medical emergencies (when certified).
• Verify all exterior access points — including doors, gates, and windows — are properly secured.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous security or related experience is preferred.

Required Credentials:

• Must hold or obtain a valid California Guard Card (BSIS) within 30 days of hire.
• Valid California Driver's License required.
