Key Responsibilities

  • Provide visible, armed security presence at client sites

  • Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle, checking for signs of intrusion or safety hazards

  • Control and screen access points, verify credentials, and log visitor entries/exits

  • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies; coordinate with law enforcement and EMS as needed

  • Write clear, concise incident and daily activity reports

  • Enforce company policies and client rules, de-escalate conflicts, and assist the public courteously

  • Monitor CCTV and other security systems for suspicious activity

Required Qualifications

  • Armed Security License: Current, state-approved firearms certification

  • Bilingual: Fluent English & Spanish (verbal & written)

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of verifiable security officer experience

  • Age: At least 21 years old (or state-required minimum)

  • Authorization: Eligible to work legally in the U.S.

  • Education: High school diploma or GED

  • Certifications:

    • CPR/AED

    • Active Shooter Response (preferred)

  • Screenings: Pass background check, motor vehicle report, and pre-employment & random drug testing

  • Physical Requirements: Able to stand, stoop, bend, and walk for extended periods in all weather conditions

  • Other: Reliable transportation; punctual and self-motivated

Preferred Background

  • Prior military, law enforcement, or private security experience

  • Experience with CCTV or access-control systems
