Position Summary

The Security Officer provides on-site safety and security at client facilities. Officers are responsible for observing, reporting, and responding to security incidents, maintaining a safe environment, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires dependability, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently.
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Review post orders, memos, and site-specific instructions.
• Provide Tier-1 customer service to employees, visitors, and clients.
• Document and escalate questions, concerns, and incidents to the appropriate Trident representative or site point of contact.
• Conduct regular patrols (at least once per hour) to maintain order and presence.
• Monitor and control access of authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and PPE requirements.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide basic first aid, CPR, or AED support as certified.
• Inspect doors, gates, and buildings for security or maintenance issues.
• Report suspicious person/s or activities through proper channels.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Trident management.
   

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous security experience preferred.
   

Licenses and Certifications

• Must obtain and maintain an ASRB Guard Card within 30 days of hire.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Alabama Driver’s License.

Working Environment / Physical Requirements

• May be required to drive a company vehicle between sites.
• Physical ability to work across different environments and terrains.
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed.
   

Reporting Structure

• Reports to the Field Quality & Compliance Supervisor
• Full-time, hourly, non-exempt position
