Job Skills / Requirements

Sunstates Security it currently hiring a FLEX/Utility Officer in Duncan, SC area. This position requires you have OPEN AVAILABLITY.

Starting pay of $18/hr- with weekly pay- based on site and prior experience.

The Utility Officer is an on-call Officer position that covers posts as needed that are open due to call offs, staff shortages or client requested extra coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

In addition to the requirements of regular Security Officers, the --UTILITY is expected to maintain detailed notes on all sites that they train at to provide seamless service to the clients when they must cover that post.
-Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
-Must be able to keep track of time for post worked and submit to Operations manager no later than 10am on Friday.

Quality Standards:

-Comes to work whether called in or scheduled in advance; is on time and completes shift assignments (including overtime, if assigned). Refusal to accept assignments may result in:
-Failure to receive sufficient hours per week.
-Removal from the UTILITY program.
-Has a neat, professional appearance and comes to work in complete and clean assigned uniform.
-Must not smoke on any assigned post
-Has a friendly and professional demeanor and provides quality customer service.

***Note: If you are selected for hire and you do NOT possess an active PPSB Security Officer license: you are REQUIRED to attend a 2-day (8 hour) PPSB training course prior to being assigned to your respective post & shift.***

A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP, and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.
