TRIDENT is looking for a Security Officer to deliver professional security and safety support in the Greater Madison area

These duties provide an overview of daily expectations. Our Security Officers are the backbone of our service delivery and must be dependable and meticulous. The role demands the ability to operate with minimal supervision, think critically to address challenges, and handle multiple tasks at once.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Read and familiarize yourself with post orders and any pass-down notes or memos applicable to the site.

  • Provide excellent front-line service to client employees, visitors, colleagues, and the public with inquiries, navigation, and general support.

  • Record and document customer concerns or questions and forward them to the relevant Trident representative or site contact.

  • Thoroughly document all incidents and complaints and escalate them appropriately to Trident and the Client.

  • Perform regular grounds patrols (every 60 minutes) to maintain safety and establish security presence.

  • Control and verify access for authorized vehicles, personnel, and visitors on-site.

  • Maintain a safe workplace and confirm all personnel comply with required personal protective equipment (PPE) standards.

  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid, CPR, and AED support as needed.

  • Inspect interior and exterior entry points to verify all doors and gates are secure and functioning.

  • Conduct interior and exterior property inspections to detect damage, maintenance needs, safety hazards, or unusual conditions.

  • Identify and escalate through the proper chain of command any incidents involving suspicious activity or individuals.

  • Complete any additional tasks as assigned by Trident.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Prior experience in security is preferred.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Must obtain or currently hold an ASRB within 30 days of hire and maintain a valid ASRB Guard Card for the duration of employment.

  • Must maintain a valid Alabama Driver's License.

PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • May be required to drive a company vehicle between locations.

  • Position involves physically demanding work across varied environments and frequent movement between client sites.

  • Must be prepared to work indoors and outdoors regardless of weather.

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods.

  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime is required as needed.
