Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2nd and 3rd shifts

Rate of Pay: $19.43/hour

This is a full-time position.
This is NOT an armed security position. Weapons are not permitted on the premises, including in personal vehicles parked on the premises.

About the Job:
As a Regional Security Supervisor for DK Security, you will oversee security officers under one of our company's premiere contracts. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' properties. As the Regional Security Supervisor, you must be capable of performing all the duties of the security officers under your supervision, while at the same time being a leader in terms of professionalism and dedication. Security Supervisors are responsible not only for their own conduct and performance, but also for that of their subordinates. They must accept responsibility for matters not covered by written procedure. They are responsible for ensuring officers under their supervision execute their orders in compliance with the contract and any applicable local, state, and federal laws. They must actively work to discover and correct misconduct at its early stages and notify management of any evolving employee concerns.

Security officer duties include the following:
• Customer Service: Be a positive reflection of the company and yourself by assisting client staff, visitors, and coworkers, and maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
• Observe and Report: Stay alert and be on the lookout for any suspicious activities and incidents.
• Security Presence: Maintain a professional appearance and stand guard in and around building lobbies, reception areas, control centers, etc.
• Security Officer: Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols of your assigned areas performing security officer duties as required.
• Access Control: Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas, check employee and vendor IDs, and follow proper access procedures.
• Safety Patrol: Ensure a safe and secure environment for all employees and visitors, enforcing the policies and procedures of the assigned location and reporting any safety concerns.
• Emergency Response: Be ready and able to assist in emergencies, including the administering of CPR/First Aid/AED care and communicating with emergency personnel using the proper protocols.
• Security Liaison: Maintain professional communication with the client staff, follow through with client requests, and keep the site supervisor/operations manager updated on all client communications.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Regional Security Supervisor duties include:
• All the duties of the security officer as listed above.
• Be familiar with all company policies, relevant client policies, and specific post orders for the various job sites under your supervision.
• Travel to various locations using own personal vehicle to check in with officers on various shifts to inspect their performance, uniform and appearance, compliance with company and client policies, check employee welfare, and see to other personnel and operational needs.
• Be on call 24/7/365 for emergencies and last minute coverage, work with the security team and the corporate scheduler to get coverage for call offs, and fill any shifts that cannot be covered in a timely manner by reporting to work as a security officer if coverage cannot be found.
• Report any last minute changes or disciplinary concerns to corporate.

About the Uniform:
The dress code for this contract is a Michigan Public Act 330 compliant navy-blue uniform that will be issued by the company during new hire orientation. Shoes must be primarily black and designed for heavy walking. No open-toed shoes. Additional uniform pieces will be issued as needed. Other contracts will have varying uniform requirements. Security uniforms are provided at no cost when required by the contract, and must be returned at the end of employment.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years old and have at least a high school diploma or equivalent education certification, such as a GED, per MCL 338.1067 §17(2).
• Must have a current and valid driver license and own personal vehicle.
• Must be able to pass regular drug screening. (Including for marijuana in accordance with federal law regardless of whether it is used recreationally or medicinally)
• Must not have been convicted of any felonies, per MCL 338.1060 §10(1)(c).
• Must not have been convicted of any misdemeanors related to dishonesty, fraud, impersonation of law enforcement, assault, weapons, unauthorized sale of information or evidence, controlled substances (including for marijuana), or two or more alcohol related offenses, per MCL 338.1060 §10(1)(c).
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk, including up and down stairs, for 8-12 hours at a time, and remain alert for the entire shift.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Must be CPR, First Aid, and AED certified (Child, Infant, and Adult), or willing to become certified and be physically capable of administering lifesaving care when needed.
• Must be able to see clearly at least 20 feet away (assisted with glasses or contact lenses if necessary).
• Must be able to hear conversations in loud environments either in-person or via radio.
• Must be able to use a smart mobile phone or computer to check emails and complete online training.
• Must be able to fluently read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must be professional and possess excellent customer service skills.
• Must have excellent personal integrity and a positive attitude.
• Must complete required trainings on time and adhere to all client and company policies.
