Armed Security Officer

Location: 361 S Bolingbrook Dr, Bolingbrook, IL 60440 (100% On-site)

Shift:

Monday/Tuesday: 7:30AM-3PM 

Wednesday/Thursday/Friday: 3PM-10PM 

Status: Full-time (Non-exempt)

Overview

An Armed Security Guard is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of facilities, employees, customers, and assets, while also being equipped to respond effectively to elevated security threats. This role requires strong situational awareness, adherence to regulations, and the ability to manage incidents with professionalism and precision. The officer's schedule, site assignments, and hours are subject to change based on client needs, staffing requirements, call-offs, and contract adjustments.

Job Duties:

• Perform security patrols of external and internal areas of locations.
• Monitor surveillance and security alarm systems.
• Provide assistance to business owners in emergency situations.
• Keep detailed logs and records of incidents at assigned locations.
• Other duties assigned by Silver Star Protection Management

  
Compensation: $18.00 hourly

Qualifications:

• Military or law enforcement background preferred.
• Must have a valid PERC card and FOID card (REQUIRED)
• Must have an Original Firearm Training Certificate, issued by IDFPR; and have completed a re-qualification within the past 12 months. (REQUIRED)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Must be able to obtain a Cultivation/Dispensary Identification Card.
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
• A professional appearance and demeanor.
• Able to stand and or sit for extended periods of time.
