Role Overview

TRIDENT is looking for an Afternoon Shift Security Officer to deliver professional security and safety services at assigned locations in Cupertino, CA. This Sunday through Thursday afternoon role is an excellent fit for a reliable, customer-focused professional who thrives when engaging with the public and sustaining a visible, approachable security presence during the busiest daytime and evening hours. Strong communication skills and an unwavering dedication to high-quality service are critical to succeeding in this position.

Primary Responsibilities

• Partner with a team of Security Specialists to protect customers and employees in retail environments
• Walk assigned areas to maintain a visible security presence and reduce the likelihood of incidents
• Recognize, report, and respond to irregular or unsafe conditions as they develop
• Record and investigate security incidents, accidents, and facility maintenance concerns
• Handle assistance requests from supervisors and client staff in a prompt, professional manner
• Aid client personnel during evacuations, emergencies, or other hazardous situations
• Support crowd management efforts and collaborate with public safety officials when required
• Confirm employee identification before granting entry to restricted areas on client property
• Manage parking compliance and resolve vehicle-related issues on site
• Welcome and assist customers and employees with professionalism and a proactive attitude
• Respond to medical situations and deliver First Aid, CPR, or AED care (if certified)
• Inspect building exteriors to verify that all doors, gates, and windows are properly secured
• Attend daily shift briefings and share relevant updates with the rest of the team
• Carry out mobile patrols between retail locations as directed
• Keep all company equipment in proper working condition at all times
• Produce accurate, thorough written reports as required
• Perform additional duties as assigned by TRIDENT management

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous security experience preferred

License & Credential Requirements

• Valid California Driver's License
• Valid BSIS Guard Card

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• May be required to drive a company vehicle between client sites
• Assignments will span multiple retail locations
• Must be prepared to work in indoor and outdoor conditions regardless of weather
• Role involves regular walking and standing, with extended periods on your feet
• Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed

Position Classification

The Security Specialist is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position that reports directly to the Field Supervisor.
