About the Role

TRIDENT is looking for an Afternoon Security Officer to deliver professional security and safety services at assigned client locations in Cupertino, CA.

This afternoon shift role is designed for a proactive, service-oriented candidate who thrives in busy retail environments during peak hours. Success in this position requires strong situational awareness, excellent interpersonal skills, and a professional approach to customer and staff interactions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Partner with a team of Security Specialists to safeguard customers and employees in retail environments.
  • Conduct foot patrols of designated zones to maintain visibility and reduce security risks.
  • Observe, report, and respond to hazardous or irregular conditions.
  • Document and investigate incidents, accidents, and maintenance-related security concerns.
  • Fulfill requests for support from supervisors and client personnel.
  • Assist staff and customers during emergencies, evacuations, or hazardous events.
  • Coordinate with public safety officials as needed for crowd management.
  • Confirm identification for employees entering restricted client areas.
  • Manage parking compliance and address vehicle-related incidents.
  • Engage professionally and courteously with customers and staff at all times.
  • Provide First Aid, CPR, or AED assistance in medical emergencies (when certified).
  • Inspect exterior entrances to ensure all doors, gates, and windows remain secure.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Prior security or retail customer service experience preferred.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Must hold or obtain a valid California Guard Card (BSIS) within 30 days of hire.
  • Valid California Driver's License required.
