Job Overview

TRIDENT is seeking an Afternoon Security Officer to provide professional security and safety coverage at assigned client sites in Cupertino, CA. This afternoon shift position is well-suited for a motivated, service-focused individual who excels in high-traffic retail settings during busy periods. The ideal candidate will bring strong situational awareness, polished interpersonal skills, and a consistently professional approach when engaging with both customers and staff.

Key Duties

• Work alongside a Security Specialist team to ensure the well-being of customers and employees in retail environments.
• Perform foot patrols of assigned zones to sustain a visible presence and minimize security risks.
• Identify, document, and respond to hazardous or suspicious conditions on-site.
• Record and investigate security incidents, accidents, and maintenance-related concerns.
• Address support requests from supervisors and client staff in a timely manner.
• Provide assistance to employees and customers during emergencies, evacuations, or other critical situations.
• Work with public safety authorities as necessary to support crowd management efforts.
• Verify credentials for employees entering restricted or controlled areas on client premises.
• Enforce parking policies and handle vehicle-related matters on site.
• Maintain respectful, professional conduct when interacting with all customers and staff.
• Administer First Aid, CPR, or AED support in medical emergencies (if certified).
• Check all exterior access points to confirm that doors, gates, and windows are properly secured.

Background & Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in security or retail customer service is preferred.

Required Licenses

• Must hold or obtain a valid California Guard Card (BSIS) within 30 days of hire.
• Valid California Driver's License required.
