Concierge-Unarmed Security Officer

CONCIERGE / UNARMED SECURITY OFFICER

The benchmark of American security has an immediate job opportunity for a Security Officer. As a Security Officer, you will conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior), control access and egress, monitor CCTV and alarm systems, compose reports, deter criminal activity and misconduct, and perform other duties as specified in post orders.

Pay Rate: $17-18 hourly

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- FL D security license

- Effective written and oral communication skills

- Ability to handle common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently

- Neat and professional appearance

- Exceptional customer service and communication skills

- Flexibility to adapt to different situations

- Intermediate computer skills

- Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standards

- Ability to handle pressure of working with the general public

- Must be able to read, understand, and speak English clearly

- Must pass a background check and drug test

Duties:

- Provide high-quality security services to protect people and property

- Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment

- Preserve order and enforce regulations and directives for the site

- Build, improve, and maintain effective relationships with client employees and guests

- Greet guests and employees in a cheerful and welcoming manner

- Answer questions and assist guests and employees

- Patrol the facility on foot or in a vehicle

- Answer phones

- Monitor closed-circuit television systems and alarms

- Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances

- Handle security issues or emergency situations appropriately

- Participate in security/safety training programs

- Fully embrace security/safety training programs

- Maintain awareness and familiarity with site-specific operations performance manual and post-orders

Physical and Mental Functions:

- Stand or walk constantly on various surfaces

- Occasionally climb stairs, ramps, or ladders

- Occasionally bend/twist at waist/knees/neck

- Occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds

- Run as needed

- Constant use of both hands and arms

- Constant use of eyes and hand/eye coordination

- Work in various environments including adverse outdoor conditions like cold, rain, or heat

- Constant mental alertness and attention to detail
